The Junior Suite Bathroom Comes Together

The Design Comes to Fruition
As you may remember I spent quite a long time analyzing the tiles, fixtures, vanity, [endless design decisions] when planning for the junior suite bathroom. Now, after a few months, my designs have come to an almsot complete reality. SO SATISFYING!

Some Design Details
I chose to take the white tile to the ceiling but didn't have to tile the top because we have fan and good ventilation. I wanted a pop of color but didn't want any tile to take over the room as color trends change and mosaic tiles are 5-6 times more expensive. Don't believe me? After shopping the entire construction strip on Washington Ave (mostly shops source directly from China, Italy, etc) I found the following deals:
White large rectangle tiles = $3.50 sf
Mosaic glass tiles = $19.50 sf
Thick grey floor tiles = $12.50 sf
I also chose to use the aluminium accent strip to break up the solid white and tie the metal accents of the fixtures into the design. We continued the chrome metal look with a hand shower and rain shower.
It Goes In!
Voila!

Where's The Original Details?
What you will notice in our new bathroom is that there are minimal original traditional details that you may expect from our historical house. Why? The original bathroom was renovated in the early 1970s in a pretty poor DIY-job. Not that I'm saying we could have done any better on our own but the bathroom lacked any original details and what was done was falling apart. We captured some victorian style in our glass shower door handle and the vanity detailing. We also managed to salvage the doors and handles (the fantastic round black knobs).
